I'm back!!

I have been slacking in blogging department for quite a while, but that just means we've been way busy around here. Lets see where do I start? I'll start with Christmas. Santa hit our house hard! And if that wasn't enough he had more to drop off at Nanno and Poppy's (Nate's Parents).

Nate and I had our 6 year anniversary on the 2 days after Christmas and we went to an expensive dinner at Prairie Schooner. It was really yummy and I was so thankful to have that romantic time with my cute hubby. He is so awesome!

A few days later there was a huge snow storm and our satellite went out. Nate decided he couldn't miss the big Utah game so he decided to climb our on our roof to dust it off. He fell 20 ft to the cement. He cracked his left foot and sprained his left knee. We were really lucky because anytime someone would ask what happened, they would come back with ...I knew someone who died, or was paralysed. I'm really glad that I still have my wonderful husband with me.
Derek's Preschool had an art gallery at the Library. He painted "Vase with 12 sunflowers" by Vincent Van Gogh. We were so proud of him.
videoWe also went to Las Vegas to visit Nate's Parents at their new winter home. We went to this really fun Mexican restaurant called Viva Zapata's. They had a mariachi player, and the kids went crazy dancing. It was really cute. We had a really relaxing weekend swimming and eating. We get to do it again next week. I'm really loved Nate home with us.
Well I think that has caught you up so far and I'll try harder to be better with this whole blogging thing.

Obsessed!

I've been really bad with keeping up my blog, because I have not been able to put down the twilight series. So I just thought I would let every one know that I'm still alive, just majorly obsessed. I heart Edward!!!

These are the Days of our Lives.

I had an action packed week, although not plan to be action packed. To start on Monday we went to the park when Macie really started to take off walking. It's bittersweet to see her walk around like a big kid. I miss my baby but my back is thankful. She and Derek have grown a lot closer since the walking as well. Then Nate was goofing around on the Internet and typed his name "Nate Keith" on YouTube. Two of his old lifting video's were on there, and together they had over 1000 hits. We were glad to see that all those years in the gym doing crazy things, are still out there for people to see. It made his night.

Now this next thing could have been tragic but thank goodness it wasn't. I was giving Derek and Macie a bath the other night and baking brownies. After I had gotten Macie out, lotion on, footsie PJ's on, and hair combed, then the oven beeped for the brownies. I ran downstairs to putt them out and Macie had gotten back into the bath with Derek. The funny thing is Derek started saying "I'm sorry Mommy, I'm sooo sorry." I asked him why he was sorry and he said he put Macie in the tub. Of coarse I didn't get mad...I ran and got my camera. We then had a talk about how Macie can't swim, and Mommy or Daddy need to be in the bathroom all the time if she's going to be in the tub.
Yesterday Kim came over to see my house and then we went to Olive Garden and to Aaron's play "Plaid Tidings." He did such a good job. It was a really fun night. Meanwhile Nate had the kids and because he was a widower his parents took he and the kids to as Derek says"the place that you choose" aka Chuck-a-Rama. While they were there Derek played the claw game and actually won. It was a fun week but certainly not planned to be. I just love life with kids.

Baby strut your stuff!

Everyone Macie's walking!! I'm so happy. She's not the lightest thing in the world, and I was 2 steps away from breaking my back having to carry her all the time. She's been walking for about a week but now she's getting good on her feet. She still has her relapses to crawling but they're not near as often. I'm so proud of her! Walking at 15 months.....hey she beat Derek by 2 months.

Hair today...Gone tomorrow!

Hair Before
Well I have tried to hold off as long as I could....Macie needed a hair cut. She had so much hair and it would be perfect if she would keep her ponytails in, but she would leave them in for 5 minutes at the longest. Nate and Derek needed hair cuts as well, so we pack everyone in the car and headed to Great Clips. They were really good with her, and the girl said she was the most well behaved child she's had under 5. That's a shocker to me because if she would sit that still while I do her hair we wouldn't of had to cut it in the first place. She didn't cut too much off but she blended it so she has a style.

Halloween Fun!

Well Halloween was really fun this year. It seemed like it lasted forever, because be celebrated so much. The kids got a lot of use out of their costumes. We started the festivities about 10 days before Halloween.

We started our festivities with choosing our pumpkins. Our family rule is "if you can pick it up, you can have it." Needless to say I don't know if that rule will stick seeing as Derek dropped probably 13 or 14 pumpkins. It was still a fun day.

The next festivity was Derek's preschool field trip to Dabs pumpkin farm. That was on Nate's Birthday so we brought him donuts and balloons and celebrated. Then we carved pumpkins, made cider & cookie's, and booed some friends.
The next day was Trunk or Treat at Grandma and Grandpa Ford's Ward. I though I was really clever, because both of my kids were Super Hero's I decided to go as "Super Mom." I wore pajama bottoms, a big t-shirt, my hair like I just rolled out of bed, and my bathrobe tied around my neck like a cape. I didn't realize that everyone comes back home for this event. I saw so many people from when I was a teenager, and I looked like I didn't know how to dress myself. People were probably saying "Oh, poor Karolee is so overwhelmed with those kids she can't even get dressed." I'm being dramatic but the only person who asked me what was supposed to be was my brother. Needless to say that was the end of me dressing up this year.
The next day was the family Halloween party with all the cousins. We had Chili and home made root beer. YUMMY!!! We played Halloween charades and decorated cupcakes.
The next night was Halloween and we did the trick or treating thing in our new neighborhood. It felt great being at our own house meeting out own neighbors.

Poor Baby!

If you haven't heard from me in awhile, that is because our sweet baby Macie is sick. She has Stomatitis, which is open soars in the mouth. It's highly contagious so we've been quarantined. We all got it a couple years ago and it's very painful. You cant eat and have a really hard time sleeping, because of the pain. They say if you've ever had a coldsore in your life you have had Stomatitis. Some cases are worse than others but it will never be as bad as the first time. We are so lucky to be infected with herpes of the mouth for the rest of our lives. She should only have a few more days left and maybe we can both get some sleep.
